Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud: FRA Data Center Migration
Rakesh May 07,
2025
Acronis will be migrating operations to a new data center to enhance both data center and network performance.
The migration will be conducted in stages to minimize disruptions, but some downtime is expected.
Stage-1 Migration will start on May 9th, 2025.
Maintenance details: The Acronis storage team will perform a physical migration of the fra2-arp1 storage hardware from one
location to the other in several stages. As a result of the migration, the IP addresses will be changed.
Old destination subnets: 45.11.128.0- 45.11.128.255
New destination subnets: 185.174.140.0-185.174.140.255
Actions needed:
- Add the destination storage IP addresses to the firewall rule to allow the outgoing connection to the Acronis Backup Gateway
(applicable to the customers using the outgoing firewall filtering by the destination IP addresses).
- Current IP addresses should not be changed until 90 days after the migration is complete.
Affected by maintenance:
Backups using Acronis-hosted cloud storage
Services impacted:
- No access to Acronis cloud hosted backups of any type (physical, C2C), and no new full or incremental backups.
- Backups to service-provider-hosted (hybrid) or customer-hosted (local) storage will continue without interruption.
- Disaster recovery services in production (primary servers or VMs in a failover state) will be operational;
however, no new failover / failback dependent on the impacted backups can be initiated.
Please note:
- Recovery from backups will not be available over the duration of the migration process. Please plan accordingly.
- We recommend setting up a local backup if that is an option for you before the migration, as they will be operational
even when the data center is not available.
